Hey, it’s been a long time.

It's been way too long since I've reached out – not since June 2nd of this year to be exact. I'm writing you today because I've got some big changes to share, and I want to make sure you're still interested in coming along for the ride.

First off, I’m switching everything from Kit to Beehiiv, and I’m cleaning out the list. If you gave up on being a creator, or just don’t care about it anymore, then you probably don’t care about this content anymore. If that’s the case, then you can unsubscribe at the bottom of this email.

My Transition From Creator Economy to Blue-Collar

Here's what's been happening:

  • I started a new chapter, pivoting my focus into the construction industry.

  • AI completely changed the game for creators and tech workers – and not in a good way

This past year, I felt the struggle of competing against not just thousands of other creators, and thousands more every few months, but against giant tech companies like Google’s Gemini, ChatGPT, and every other AI tool out there. We’re no longer competing with each other to monetize our skills and experience. Instead, were competing with every industry adopting AI.

Thousands of jobs are getting cut every quarter, and AI companies are taking over the creator market.

The creator industry isn't nearly as accessible as they made it sound when I first started. So I went back to the trenches, did some serious self-discovery, and had a major realization: the blue-collar industry is where the next wave of millionaires will come from.

Why Tradespeople Need Creators (And How You Can Help)

Now, I'm not saying you need to become a tradesperson or start your own construction company. What I am saying is this industry is overflowing with business owners who desperately need your help. These folks know their craft inside and out, but they have no clue about software tools, email marketing, content creation, website building, or growing a social media audience. The blue collar industry is scrambling to find its footing by partnering with creators like you.

This is my new mission.

Instead of just being another creator teaching creators, I'm taking my skills directly to the people who need them most – and applying them in real businesses. These tradespeople work their asses off, day and night, dripping sweat and blood. That's why they're easily pulling in six figures as employees and journeymen. The business owners? They're bringing in millions per year or quickly working toward that goal.

What The One Person Startup Will Focus On

The One Person Startup will remain focused on one core idea: Product Marketing Strategies for Creators

What that means is, you’ll learn every marketing strategy to help you sell more products and your service (ghostwriting, website design, video editing, coaching, etc.).

From social media marketing, to marketing funnels, to email marketing. It’s everything you need to build your funnel, grow your audience, and sale your products.

Three New Brands (Real Case Studies) I’m Building

Instead of just telling you how to do all of this, I'm going to show you through my personal case studies with three new brands:

  1. Amado's Garage Doors: is my home service and repair business where I'm building a garage door company (installing and repairing garage doors) using the best marketing strategies for all trade businesses.

  2. Hold My Wrench: this content business is focused on the trades industry – everything from power tools and pickup trucks to managing a trade business. It talks about the most popular topics in the industry while addressing the concerns of business owners and managers.

  3. California Digital Nomad: Because life isn't just about work. This is where I share my road trips, national parks, hiking adventures, and all the ways to unplug from work and go explore new locations.

Platform Switch From Kit to Beehiiv

With this major change in my business—no longer focusing solely on creating content about marketing, I’m going to shift to a tool that can provide a lot more in one place. That’s why I’m moving this email list from Kit to Beehiiv*.

Too keep this part short, I needed a new website, email marketing, a blog, and a solid tool for business growth. The easiest way to accomplish this was to drop a few tools and consolidate to Beehiiv.

What to Expect Moving Forward

  • If you don’t care about being a creator anymore

  • If you don’t need any help with marketing

  • If you're not interested in building a business

But if you want to get ahead of the competition and tap into this massive, underserved market – you're exactly where you need to be

Every week, I'll send you 1-2 newsletter posts covering the creator industry and practical ways to market yourself and your products. I'll share opportunities you can jump on in the:

  • blue-collar industry

  • influencer industry

  • creator industry

These industries are dying to find skilled creators to help them build their audience, managing their own business, finances, video editing, creating websites, and most importantly, how to connect their entire funnels to get their audience to become customers.

If you read this far, I got something special for you next week. I’ll be releasing a new guide designed just for creators like you. I’m not entirely fixed on the title name of this product, but I would love to get some feedback before I settle on the actual name. For now, I’m calling it “The Creator’s Roadmap”.

Keep an eye out for it next week.

See ya.
